The uniqueness of the Balance Amputee sling may not be apparent at first glance but it has a number of features that sets this sling apart in the marketplace.
The geometry of Balance Amputee sling has been analysed in detail using Computer Aided Design, but not only this, it has been tested using live personnel to guarantee comfort and dignity at all times.
It incorporates two slings which are currently available from other sling manufacturers enabling a simplified procurement decision but gaining the benefit of having a combination of two slings into one.
The specially designed leg sections give maximum comfort to clients that need good hip and thigh support. The leg cups evenly distribute the client’s weight and the additional stump supports, which are incorporated as standard to both leg sections, offer client assurance, safety and comfort.
The unique removal of edge binding on the leg sections reduces pressure on the client’s legs thus reducing the potential of pressure sores developing.
This sling is suitable for use with clients that have amputations with a stump of 8”. Any stump with a measurement less than this we view as unsafe and would recommend the Cradle sling.
The Balance sling is used where clients require increased hip and thigh support.
Padding on the leg sections comes as standard and the foam has been carefully selected to withstand higher washing temperatures. This additional feature has been included to enable higher washing temperatures and by it reducing the spread of infection.
The Balance Amputee sling is available in standard poly material, mesh material, in-situ material, loop fix.
