 This is a special service to meet the needs of mobility scooter and powered wheelchair users. In the event of your mobility scooter or powered wheelchair breaking down, you and your mobility vehicle will be taken home, or to your vehicle supplier for repair. This service covers you for breakdowns and accidents.
- When you are travelling as the driver of a class 2 or 3 mobility vehicle
- Due to certain limitations of lifting equipment and personal training, service cannot be given to persons who require medical assistance in transferring from their vehicles to the recovery vehicle.
- If the member cannot travel in the vehicle deployed to recover the scooter or powered wheelchair, then suitable transport will be provided for example a taxi or private hire vehicle.
- In the event of a Flat Battery, assistance is restricted to a maximum of 4 times within any Membership year.
- Autohome Assistance is available where the vehicle is situated: on recognised roads or pedestrian footpaths by a road or highway; pedestrianised areas and shopping centres; public car parks.
- The service does not apply at your normal place of residence or where the vehicle is normally kept.
